With the help of our clients, we can create images that succeed in portraying character, creating mood, and expressing relationships. Fine portraiture is not an accident but the result of great care in the planning stages of each and every portrait that we design. To this end we involve our clients in all aspects of planning their portrait, from determining your photographic needs and artistic desires through the selection and completion of the final portraits. It is the patient and careful planning that helps to make our portraits so pleasing to our clients and so satisfying for us personally.

Our photographic sessions are never rushed. Above all, we want to create portraits that will portray you, your family, and your loved ones as well as we possibly can.

The photographic image is only the raw material, which we use to create your finished portrait. This image is fully retouched, enhanced, and corrected with sensitively applied hand artwork using dyes, oils, pastels, and pencils. Finally, the finished portrait is sealed in a lacquer glaze for permanence and protection. If you choose, your portrait can be embedded in artists canvas to add depth and texture.

We are one of the only studios in the area that can offer a wide variety of photographic styles that include b&w hand coloring, watercolors, impressionism, and oil enhanced portraits.

We have a few policies that help us assure that you get what you care about the most…a beautiful portrait. Please spend a few minutes to read and familiarize yourself with these policies.

Consultation

This is a meeting that we set up between our prospective clients and our creative director. It gives you the chance to see what we can do for you and to clear up any questions that you may have about our studio. During this time we will go over all of the options you have so far as photographic styles, clothing, payment, and scheduling. There is no charge for this and you are under no obligation to commission our studio at that time to create your portraits.

Creation Fee

This is a pre paid fee that allows us to reserve the day and time that you have selected for your portrait. This fee goes towards the time spent in creating and planning your portrait. It allows us the time necessary to create that special portrait you desire. It is not a deposit and and does not go towards the purchase of your final portraits.

Viewing

When it is time to view your images you will be contacted by our studio to schedule a projection appointment. This is a time reserved for you to view your portraits in the appropriate size and finish. We do not use paper proofs but our projection system is designed in such a manner to help you decide on the best image, composition, and retouching if necessary. You will also have the benefit of viewing these images in the actual sizes that you select. At this time it is recommended that all parties that will be involved in the decision making process be present. This session will require your concentration and the best results are obtained when you are relaxed and not distracted. For this reason it is advisable to leave young children at home if at all possible.

Deposits

A minimum deposit of 50% is required when ordering at the time of your projection appointment. The balance is due upon the delivery of the final order. Unfortunately, we are unable to allow finished work to leave the studio before all balances are paid. In an effort to help our clients we offer Visa, Master Card, American Express, and no interest lay-away’s.

Delivery

Although we do everything within our power to get your finished portraits to you as soon as possible, the number one priority is quality. Therefore, we will not guarantee a delivery time until the completed work meets our high standards.

Hours

Studio hours are by appointment only, 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM Monday thru Friday. Other appointment times are by special arrangements only.
